Do I have to pay any runtime royalties?

No. There is no royalty fee for redistributing the Viscomsoft ActiveX Control with your software.

Does this mean that, if I buy Viscomsoft ActiveX control, I don\'t have to pay license fees to patent holders related to the functions of viscomsoft activex control?

The Viscomsoft activex control contains a variety of functions that may be used by developers as they implement products, including products that support various industry standards. Implementations of products in accordance with such standards, or the standard-enabled platforms, may require licenses from various entities. Such licensing is not provided by Viscomsoft activex control. for example: MP3 codec are not royalty free.

Who can use my license?

Licensing is per developer. Each developer using the software will need a separate license.

Can I use my license on my laptop?

If you purchased single developer license, you only allow installed the activex on single development computer in same time.

I paid the order but I did NOT get any license-key. Why?

AV Manager

I am having some difficulty with getting the scheduler to work. I keep getting an error message when I try and upload a schedule \"Invalid IP\" - \"Failed to connect\" yet it does recognise the display PC in the list?

It may av manager cannot upload schedule and content to av scheduler's ftp server. Please see Diagnose AV Manager upload schedule problem to diagnose the ftp sever whether working or not.

I installed av scheduler in win xp pro SP2. If i turn off firewall , I can upload scheduler from av manager. I don\\\'t want to turn off firewall, how can I still upload the schedule from av manager?

AV scheduler will open port 7000 to receiving the signal from av manager. You need set firewall to non blocking the AV scheduler and firewall may block ftp server in av scheduler's computer, select Windows Firewall - Exceptions tab, add port, input Port number 21.

I downloaded AV Manage Single Version and installed AV Manager and AV Scheduler , I selected the schedule , click Transfer Schedule, It display \"Cannot found AV Scheduler, Do you installed AV Scheduler\" Why ?

Please select Maintenance - System Configuration in AV Manager, make sure you selected correct path on "AV Scheduler Folder". By default path of AV Scheduler is C:\Program Files\Viscom Software\AV Scheduler Single Version , if you installed the AV Scheduler to another folder, please select the correct path.

The Ad-Hoc messages don’t appear to be working on av scheduler computer

In your AV Scheduler computer, you may installed windows firewall. The AV Scheduler will open TCP port 700 for receiving the adhoc message. Select Control Panel - Windows Firewall, click Add Port, enter 7000 Port number and select TCP checkbox. Click OK to confirm.

Why I cannot preview PPT content, it display Security Alert Message Box?

How can distribute the ActiveX with your application?

I created my installer and installing the activex with my application on the distribution machine. but it said cannot register the ocx file when installing.

You need distribute some dll files first, finally call regsvr32 command to register the ocx file.
You may see Distributing your Applications section in our ActiveX help file. It show all the files necessary for ActiveX Control to operate properly.
or when you see register ocx error message on client machine, select ignore it. then download Dependency Walker , unzip it and run it on client machine, drag the ocx file to the dependency walker, if some dll files is missing, it will display Question mark icon.

Movie Player Pro ActiveX will use VMR9 renderer to playback the video. some display card may have some problem when using VMR9 renderer, try download latest display card driver, it will solved.

Blackmagic drivers exposes TWO different renderers for each output: one is directly managed by the driver, the other one is a WDM driver managed by the OS.
If you use the WDM driver instead of the native one, everything works perfectly and solved your issue.

When I select WMVideo8 Encoder DMO video compressor, it cannot save to avi file?

Now VideoCap ActiveX will listed all video and audio compressor installed on your system, but some video/audio compressor is cannot use. So you should select correct video/audio compressor. e.g. DV Video Encoder, Microsoft Video 1, DivX, PCM.

I was able to capture video from my webcam very easily. But when I replay the avi file, the video speed in which it plays back is really fast. The sound is at the right pace, but not the video. Is there any setting that I can change to correct this ?

You should select correct Video Compressor, e.g. DIVX, XVID, Microsoft Video 1, MJPEG Compressor.

I try input vob file and convert to AVI file (I selected DIVX codec), but it cannot converting, Why?

Before you convert to DIVX file, you should selected DIVX codec, you may call VideoCompressors.ShowPropertyPage() to display the DIVX Codec Properties's PropertyPage. In Certification Profile, you should select 720HD Profile or 1080HD Profile.

I tried your File Conversion sample, it cannot preview the video or convert to another video formats, why?

You may installed some third party filters, so affect it. you may set UseDecoderFilter = true and black list some third party filters, the following third party filters will affect the normal directshow playback. Add following the code before call InitControl, it may help.

ActiveX Controls Running on 64 bit Window OS

Do your ActiveX controls work in 64 bit environments?

Yes. but our ActiveX controls are all 32 bit and must run inside 32 bit applications but these applications will run on 64 bit operating systems. It is important that the OCX file is not stored in the Windows\System32 folder on 64 bit operating systems because this folder is now reserved for 64 bit files and the control will not register from this location. This may affect the installation software that can be used to deploy the application.

In Visual Studio .NET applications the application must be compiled specifically for 32 bit. In the Solution Explorer select Properties and on the Build tab select "x86" under Platform Target.

When distribute your application with our ocx to 64 bit OS. Do not copy the dll files and ocx files to SysWOW64 folder, you should copy all dll and ocx files to your application folder.
Make sure you distribute dll files first, finally distribute ocx file and call regsvr32 command to register ocx file.

I downloaded the trial version of your ActiveX Control , open your sample in Visual Studio 2010, I get a message dat the component is not registered. Why?

If you use window 7 64 bit OS. When you open our sample, you will get the error message "component not registered"

Solution:

Delete component from the form.

Clean project, clean solution.

Convert project to 32bits x86 version.
